Honda Elevate EV Launch in India –This plant is targeting India for the launch of the Elevate EV model, thus marking Honda’s first electric SUV. Recently, Honda India has been relatively quiet on the EV front. The Elevate petrol model has already garnered good attention in India, and the electric Elevate would be building on this incredibly solid base. The car is sure to have great expectations since Honda has a reputation for building long-lasting products that are quality assured and are known for being reliable to drive smoothly, thus making consumers have higher expectations as the company reenters the EV space.
Design
Honda basically carried over the exterior style from the petrol Elevate while adding some contemporary cues to denote its EV identity. Expect a closed grille front face, EV-inspired bumper design, blue accents, and brand-new alloy wheels. This design by Honda is intended to evoke a simple, clean, and premium feel. Size and road presence are on par with an average mid-size SUV, improving comfort within the city as well as highway drives.
Battery And Range
Everything about the Honda Elevate EV would probably be the range. It might use a battery pack somewhere between 40 kWh and 50 kWh for India. Real driving would most probably be around 350-400 km, which is both pretty decent for just a vehicle for daily commuting, and getaways. Honda would want the power delivery to be smooth and predictable; this would create a very refined driving feel. Fast charging is expected, which would get the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in 40-45 minutes.
Interior And Features

The interior is predicted to remain unchanged from the petrol version, with a few modern changes for the EV version. Expected features include a much bigger touchscreen, EV-specific UI, regenerative braking controls, and an all-new digital instrument cluster. Throw in Honda’s touch for an air of premium allure, soft-touch dash, and quite comfy seats. Safety-wise, expect Level 2 features for the ADAS lane assist, adaptive cruise control, and auto-emergency braking.
Performance
The running has been a signature trait of Honda from its EV days. Expected Elevate EV gets a single-motor FWD setting with spirited acceleration and a lightweight steering feel to characterise this one for city driving. It is very much in the comfort and stability line and definitely not sporty, per Honda’s philosophy. Suspension tuning should really play to the Indian conditions for a softly set yet well-controlled, comfortable ride.

Expected to arrive sometime from the middle to the latter half of 2025-i.e. sometime between July and November 2025. The expected pricing should be competitive in the segment-about ₹18 to ₹22 lakh ex-showroom. With this price, the Elevate EV would be pitted as a strong contender against the Tata Curvv EV, the lite variant of the MG ZS EV, and, of course, the upcoming Creta EV.
