2026 BMW F 900 GS and R 1300 GS: Whenever BMW Motorrad brings an update to the Motorcycle segment, the discussion automatically intensifies. This time something similar has happened. For the 2026 model year, BMW has given a new visual flavour to its two popular adventure bikes BMW F 900 GS and BMW R 1300 GS. Mechanical changes may not have been made, but with new color options and updated packages, both models are more fresh and appealing than before.

This update is quite interesting for riders who like Adventure riding, as the bike’s character is kept the same, but its styling gets a new, energetic touch.

R 1300 GS

The BMW R 1300 GS, often called “big daddy” of the Adventure lineup, will now be available in a new Style Trophy variant. It has a very attractive color combination of White Aluminum Matt metallic and Racing Blue metallic. This sporty yet premium shade R 1300 GS’s muscular design elevates the language even more.

Although no new color option has been added to its Adventure version, Touring and Enduro Pro packages have received subtle yet meaningful updates. Hand guard extension has been added to the touring package, making protection and better in long touring. At the same time the Enduro Pro package includes the new engine guard, which helps give the bike additional protection on the togh off-road trails.

F 900 GS

The BMW F 900 GS has already been a balanced and capable machine for Adventure lovers, and now in 2026 models it has been given an even more vibrant look with two new colour options. These include Snapper Rocks Blue Matt metallic, Racing Blue metallic / Light White uni / Racing Red uni’s multi-tone combination.

With the arrival of these new shades, BMW has discontinue two old, almost similar-looking colour variants. This makes the updated lineup of the F 900 GS look more clean and focused, and the new colours give it standout appearances on both road and trail.

Mechanical Performance

BMW has untouched the mechanical components of both bikes, and that is their real awesome. The F 900 GS produces 105bhp and 93Nm of torque as before with its potent 895cc twin-cylinder engine. It also gives an aggressive punch with engine smoothness, especially with 21-17-inch cross-spoke wheels and just 219kg weight making it a lot of fun off-road riding.

On the other hand, the 1,300cc Boxer twin motor of the R 1300 GS stands ready with its iconic character as before. A power of 145bhp and a strong torque of 149Nm gives it a commanding presence at every terrain.

Interestingly, despite weighing 237kg, this bike is surprisingly light feel, and gives effortless confidence in every situation, from high-speed touring to rocky trails.
