If you are looking for a bike in the 160cc segment that comes with technology and comfort, not just power, then the new Cruise Control Version of the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V will definitely catch your attention. Hero Motocorp recently listed the features of this bike on its website and has now been officially launched at a ₹4,485 higher price than the standard model. It has become India’s first 160cc bike with Cruise Control being delivered with Ride-by-Wire technology. Let’s take a look at its design, technology and engine performance.
Design

The new model of the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V looks much more premium and muscular than before. The new variant features unique graphics with gray color giving it an upmarket appeal. The most special change is its Revised LED headlight, inspired by the Xtreme 250R and gives the bike a sharp, bold and aggressive look. In addition, the thick USD telescopic forks with a gold-shed finish at the front make the bike’s road presence more powerful.
New body graphics, large fuel tanks, muscular side panels, LED turn indicators and stylish LED taillamps give the bike a premium streetfighter-like feel. The split seat option with its single-piece seat is also expected. The tubi exhaust and engine cowl also cater to the sporty look of the bike.
Features

The biggest highlight of this motorcycle is its Cruise Control feature, which has been installed with a Ride-by-Wire throttle system to enable it. This is the same system that Hero has previously used in Glamour X and Xtreme 125R as well. This system provides extremely smooth throttle response and controlled performance during riding. The bike gets three riding modes – Rain, Road and Sport. This mode can be easily changed through updated switchgear. The bike also features a new Color LCD instrument cluster, derived from the Xtreme 250R. It has features like Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, call alerts.
Performance

The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V features the same 163.2cc single-cylinder, 4V, oil-cooled engine that generates 16.6 bhp of power and 14.6 Nm of torque. This power output incorporates it into the most agile and refined bikes of the 160cc segment. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox, which gives smooth and superior performance to both the highway and City —. Throttle response is greatly preferred due to the Ride-by-Wire system, making bike performance even more fun in Sport mode.
Other updates

A new switchgear is provided on the left hand of the bike, which allows the colored LCD cluster to be easily controlled. The bike’s tire size and fuel tank capacity are the same as the previous model. Considering the premium segment, it has not 6 airbags but advanced electronics. The company has not yet shared the prices of other standard variants of the 2026 Xtreme 160R. Hero Motocorp’s objective is clear to strengthen its grip in the —160cc segment and attract technology-focused young riders.
