Monsoon Update – The weather is set to deteriorate significantly once again, prompting an alert for several states. Cyclone Senyar is expected to bring intense activity. Meanwhile, heavy snowfall in the hilly areas of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Uttarakhand in North India has blanketed the mountains in a blanket of white.
Temperatures have reached sub-zero levels in many places. The intense cold is being felt from Kashmir to Delhi and Bihar. Most areas of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are experiencing a cold spell due to the drop in temperatures.
Dense fog enveloped many parts of Delhi-NCR in the early morning, causing inconvenience to residents. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain accompanied by a severe storm in the next 48 hours.

According to the IMD, Cyclone Senyar is likely to develop in the Bay of Bengal. This will be the second powerful storm of the monsoon season. In addition, the southern states were also affected by Cyclone Monta recently. According to the IMD, winds with speeds of 40 to 50 kilometres per hour are expected until November 29th.
Heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms is possible. Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Lakshadweep are likely to experience heavy rainfall along with high waves. Coastal areas have been advised to exercise caution for the next 48 hours. Fishermen are also being prevented from venturing into coastal areas. An alert for moderate rain with strong winds has been issued in Odisha on November 27th.
Know the Weather in Uttar Pradesh
According to the Meteorological Department, a moderate winter is expected in Uttar Pradesh. The IMD has predicted a drop of 2 degrees Celsius in temperatures over the next two days. Furthermore, the effects of the winter have predicted a cold wave, accompanied by dense fog in the mornings. Winds are expected to blow at speeds of up to 20 kilometres per hour in rural areas. This could increase people’s chill.
Weather Conditions in Bihar
The IMD has predicted cold weather in most areas of Bihar. Fog is expected in other districts, including the capital Patna. Many districts have started the morning with fog. Meanwhile, due to westerly winds, temperatures are expected to drop to 10 degrees Celsius in most districts.
