Skin Changes That Look Like an Infection
In many women, the skin of the breast begins to look like the surface of an orange—rough, pitted and unusually reddish. This happens when cancer cells block tiny lymph channels beneath the skin, creating swelling that resembles an infection.
Although it may look harmless, this change can be a serious red flag, and immediate medical evaluation is essential.
Nipple Changes That Signal Early Disease
A nipple that suddenly turns inward, changes colour, or shifts its shape should never be ignored.
If the nipple starts releasing any fluid that is not breast milk, especially a watery or bloody discharge, it may indicate early-stage breast cancer. Early consultation with a doctor is strongly advised.
