Vande Bharat Sleeper Train: A major update has emerged regarding the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train. The wait for the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train is about to end very soon. If everything is completed on time, this semi-high-speed train could be operational for passengers soon. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav provided this information. The Railway Minister also answered the question of why the launch of the sleeper train is being delayed. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav stated that minor improvements are currently underway on the country’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train.
Once these improvements are complete, the train will be operational for passengers in December. The Railway Minister stated that during testing of the first train, some minor issues were discovered, particularly with the bogies and seats. These are being addressed. He said, “We don’t believe in shortcuts. We aim to make our journey comfortable by building a great train.”
What changes are being made to the train?
The emergency alarm button is being moved from the upper berth to a location where passengers can easily press it.
The AC duct is being relocated to a better location.
Special cables and arc fault detection devices are to be installed for fire prevention.
Fire-resistant cables are to be installed for CCTV.
Third-party inspections of European safety standards (EN 45545 and EN 15227) are to be conducted.
Why is the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train launch delayed?
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav stated that some retrofitting work is underway on the Vande Bharat train to enhance passenger convenience. The fully completed train will be launched next month. After testing the first rake, minor improvements to the bogies and seats were suggested, and these are now being implemented. This work will be completed soon.
We are addressing any deficiencies found during the trials of the first rake in both trains.
When will the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train be launched?
Emphasising passenger safety and convenience, the Railway Minister stated that he doesn’t believe in shortcuts and aims to create a better product for future generations. However, when asked about the train’s route and launch date, the Railway Minister said, “We will launch the train in December.”
The Railways maintains that there will be no compromise on safety and comfort. This is why the entire train is being redesigned, even with minor changes. Passengers are eagerly awaiting its launch. Once the train is launched, long-distance travel will become more comfortable and safer than ever before.
