New Aadhaar App: Big news for Aadhaar Card holders. UIDAI has finally rolled out the new Aadhaar card mobile app. This much-anticipated app comes with a bunch of new features designed to help India’s nearly 1.4 billion citizens easily manage their digital Aadhaar identity. Users can now securely store their digital Aadhaar card right on their smartphones.

The new Aadhaar app is up for grabs on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. People have been eagerly waiting for this app because there wasn’t a reliable way to store digital Aadhaar securely. In the past, it was tough to manage multiple Aadhaar cards (for family members) in one spot since the old mAadhaar app didn’t support this functionality. The mAadhaar app had features like updating your name, address, and mobile number, which often meant a trip to an Aadhaar service center. But the new app has made this process much easier.

Check out the features of the new Aadhaar app

The new Aadhaar app brings several enhanced and powerful features compared to the old mAadhaar:

1. Multi-profile management: You can add up to 5 family members’ Aadhaar cards linked to a single mobile number within one app. This makes it super convenient to manage all your household’s Aadhaar cards in one place.

2. Biometric Security Lock: You can turn on biometric security, like fingerprint or face lock, to keep your Aadhaar information completely safe. No one can access your data until you unlock it.

3. Selective data sharing: You now have the option to choose what information to share. For instance, you can share just your name and photo while keeping your address or date of birth private.

4. QR Code Verification: You can effortlessly confirm your identity at a bank, government office, or service center by displaying or scanning your Aadhaar QR code without needing any paper.

5. Offline Mode Access: Once you have completed the initial setup, you can access your saved Aadhaar information even without an internet connection. However, to utilize all features, an internet connection is necessary.

6. Usage History Monitoring: The app provides details on when, where, and how your Aadhaar has been utilized. This enhances both security and transparency.
