The Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) has released a notification for 252 apprentice positions for the year 2025. How many positions will be filled?

A total of 252 apprentice positions will be filled under this recruitment drive. These include:

  • Graduate Apprentice: 146 posts
  • Diploma Apprentice: 49 posts
  • Trade Apprentice (ITI): 57 posts

The deadline for applications for all positions is December 5, 2025.

Educational Qualification: Who can apply?

1. Graduate Apprentice

Four-year full-time engineering degree (BE/B.Tech/B.Arch)

Non-Engineering Graduates: BA, BBA, B.Com, B.Sc, BCA (three-year degree)

2. Diploma Apprentice

Three-year full-time engineering diploma

3. Trade Apprentice

ITI pass candidates are eligible for this category.

How will the selection be conducted?

RITES has not conducted any written examination or interview for this recruitment. Selection will be based solely on a merit list based on the percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in their educational qualifications.

If two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate will be given preference.

  • Minimum qualifying marks for reserved categories: SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD – 50%
  • Minimum marks for General and EWS categories: 60%

Stipend: What is the monthly salary?

Candidates selected for the apprenticeship will receive a stipend ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹14,000 per month. This amount will depend on the candidate’s category: Graduate, Diploma, or ITI.
