The Indian team performed brilliantly in the 5-match T20 International series against Australia on their home soil. The first match of this series was washed out due to rain, while Australia won the second match. After this, under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, India made a comeback and won the third and fourth T20I matches. The fifth and the last match of the tournament also ruled out because of rain. But, India won the series by 2-1.

What can be team India’s plan

Many Indian players performed brilliantly in India’s T20 International series win. But Shivam Dube’s performance caught the attention of a veteran cricketer. Shivam Dube’s best performance in the series came in the fourth T20I against Australia, where he scored a crucial 22 runs and took two wickets. In this context, former cricketer Irfan Pathan praised all the Indian all-rounders, including Shivam Dube, for their performance in the T20 International series against Australia.

Irfan Pathan’s opinion

On this, Irfan Pathan said on his YouTube channel, “We have seen some changes, but there is a story behind them. The strength of this team is the all-rounders. Why I want to focus on the all-rounders is that Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar and Axar Patel have been the biggest positives, especially Sundar, as he has not been a regular part of the T20I team. He got a chance and scored 49 runs in Hobart. When he got a chance to bowl, he took three wickets. Shivam Dube has strengthened his position in the bowling department and this is a huge factor for the Indian team, considering Hardik Pandya’s injury, as we saw in the Asia Cup.”

Meanwhile, Irfan Pathan praised the Indian team’s preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup. He explained how the Indian team is planning for situations where Hardik Pandya will not be available to play. Irfan Pathan said, “The way the Indian team is planning is logical because they don’t want to be left without an all-rounder if Hardik Pandya gets injured before a big match. Dubey is now the fast bowling all-rounder option. Nitish Kumar Reddy is another option.”
