Bihar Election 2025 – Voting on 122 Seats in Second Phase November 11, Fate of How Many Candidates Will Decided

Bihar election 2025 Second Phase Update – Election campaigning is underway in Bihar for the second phase, with prominent leaders from all political parties appealing for votes. Voting will be held on November 11th for 122 seats across 20 districts, where the reputations of several ministers will be at stake. Like the first phase, record-breaking voter turnout is expected in the second phase.

Election campaigning will continue until 5 pm on November 9th. On behalf of the NDA, PM Narendra Modi and CM Nitish Kumar have taken charge. In the Grand Alliance, Tejashwi Yadav is leading the campaign by holding the largest number of public meetings to seek public support. The state police and paramilitary forces have also taken charge of polling parties and security arrangements.

How many candidates will be selected?

The fate of 1,302 candidates will be decided in the second phase of voting in the Bihar Assembly elections. Of these, 1,165 are men, 136 are women, and one is transgender. The Election Commission has set up 45,399 polling booths in 20 districts for the second phase. This includes 45,388 general polling stations and 11 auxiliary polling stations.

According to reports, 5,326 polling stations have been set up in urban areas and 40,073 in rural areas. Approximately 37 million voters will be eligible to exercise their franchise in this phase. These include approximately 19.5 million men, 17.4 million women, and 943 third-gender voters.

All constituencies have an average voter turnout of over 200,000. All political parties are conducting frequent visits. The bumper turnout in the first phase is attributed to the deletion of names of deceased and non-deleted voters from the SIR voter list, and the increased participation of young people.

Which 20 districts will vote in the second phase?

The second phase is going to be crucial for all political parties. The 20 districts where elections will be held on November 11 include East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, and Purnia.

Voting is also scheduled in Katihar, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Nawada, Gaya, Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Arwal, Kaimur, and Rohtas. These districts comprise 122 seats, where the Grand Alliance, NDA, and Jan Suraj are competing vigorously. All parties are claiming victory in the first phase.
