Pension Update: This is useful news for lakhs of pensioners across the country. The life certificates submitted by pensioners last year are valid only till 30th November 2025. In such a situation, to get pension from the month of December, it is necessary that pensioners submit their life certificates by 30th November. Pensioners above 60 to 80 years of age have been given time from 1st to 30th November 2025.

 

The pensioner who does not submit this certificate by 30th November will stop getting pension from December. However, after submitting the life certificate, the entire pension amount along with the outstanding amount gets credited to the account. Pensioners can submit their life certificates both online and offline.

The Jeevan Pramaan Patra (Life Certificate) is a biometrically enabled digital life certificate for pensioners. It is crucial for retired employees of the Central Government, State Governments, and other government institutions. It establishes whether the pensioner is alive or not. Under the rules, every pensioner between the ages of 60 and 80 is required to submit their Life Certificate between November 1st and November 30th. Super senior pensioners over 80 years of age are required to submit this certificate between October 1st and November 30th.

The Vishnudev Sai government in Chhattisgarh has decided to launch a digital facility for pensioners in the state. Under this initiative, pensioners will be able to create life certificates from the comfort of their homes using a mobile app. Life certificate camps will be organized at seven key locations in the district, including Raigarh, Kharsia, and ADB Raigarh. Teams from the State Bank of India and India Post Payments Bank will assist pensioners in the certificate creation process at these camps.

Pensioners who experience difficulties using the mobile app can also visit their nearest bank or post office and obtain their certificates through face authentication. For pensioners who cannot leave their homes due to health reasons or other circumstances, home visits are also available, where a team from the bank or post office will visit their home to prepare the life certificate.

How to submit?

Submit a request for doorstep service by visiting the official portal https://ccc.cept.gov.in/ServiceRequest/request.aspx. For doorstep service, you must have an active Aadhaar number linked to your pension account, and a mobile number registered with your bank or post office. Also, have your pension information ready, such as your PPO number, pension type, and payment agency.
