The India Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rains between November 3rd, 4th, and 5th. The Meteorological Department predicts that several states across the country may experience heavy to heavy rainfall, including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, and Gujarat.
Heavy Rain in Several States
According to the IMD, a thunderstorm warning has been issued for Gujarat, Marathwada, and parts of Maharashtra from November 3rd to 5th. Meanwhile, heavy rains are expected in northeastern India’s Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on November 3rd. Additionally, a western disturbance may cause thunderstorms and strong winds in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand starting November 4th. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is expected in northwest India, including Uttarakhand, on November 4th, 5th, and 6th.

The impact of Cyclonic Storm ‘Montha’ is evident in Uttar Pradesh. Eastern Uttar Pradesh, including Ballia, Ghazipur, Mau, Azamgarh, and Varanasi, has been experiencing intermittent heavy rain for the past two days. According to the Meteorological Department, rain is likely in eastern Uttar Pradesh, including Ballia, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Varanasi, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, and Ambedkar Nagar.

According to the IMD, the Weather will remain normal for the next 3-4 days. No heavy rain is currently forecast. Light fog or mist is possible in the morning and late evening.

According to the IMD, a new western disturbance will activate in Himachal Pradesh, leading to snowfall in Kullu, Kinnaur, and Lahaul-Spiti, and rain in the lower areas of Shimla, Solan, and Mandi.
