India’s SUV market is becoming more interesting day by day. Every brand is engaged in offering its best SUV, and now Renault is also ready with its new third-generation Duster. On the other hand, Hyundai Creta is already considered the most popular SUV of this segment. In such a question arises, will the new Duster really be able to compete with Creta? Let’s know this exciting fight between the two.
Dimension
Based on the Australian model of the new generation Renault Duster, this SUV is 4345mm long, 1822mm wide and 1660mm high. Its wheelbase is 2658mm and ground clearance is up to 212mm (4×4 version). This means that Duster will give better grip and stability on all types of paths.

Hyundai Creta on the other hand has a length of 4330mm, width 1790mm and height 1635mm. The wheelbase is 2610mm and ground clearance is 190mm. If compared, the Duster appears slightly larger and speculative, giving better cabin space and road presence.

Design
Talking about the same design, the new Renault Duster 2025 will now come with more modern and sharp designs than ever before. It features Y-shape LED headlamps, stylish DRLs, and bold body cladding, giving it a strong look on the road. It will also be accompanied by 17 and 18-inch alloy wheels, which further enhance its premium look.
At the same time, the design of the Hyundai Creta is already popular, especially due to its “Parametric” grills, LED DRLs and panoramic sunroofs. But when it comes to boldness, Duster’s new avatar seems a bit more muscular.
Features
The cabin of the new Duster is now more modern and practical than before. It will include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 6-speaker audio system, wireless charger and electric parking brake.
In the same case of saftey, it is second to none. It has Level 2 ADAS features such as Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Automatic Emergency Braking and Traffic Sign Reconciliation. Just one drawback is that the international model does not have sunroof, although this feature can be added in India.
Now talk to Hyundai Creta, it gets a full package of 10.25-inch dual-display setup, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control, 360-degree camera, Bose audio system and ADAS features. In this sense, Creta appears further in both technology and luxury.

Engine
Renault Duster will get two engine options. first 1.2L Mild Hybrid (130hp, 230Nm) and second 1.3L Turbo Petrol (150hp, 270Nm). The same, both engines will come with a manual and automatic transmission. The special thing is that the 4×4 version of Duster is also globally available, and if it launches in India, it could overtake Creta.
Hyundai Creta gets three engine options. 1.5L Petrol (113hp, 144Nm), 1.5L diesel (113hp, 250Nm) and 1.5L Turbo Petrol (156hp, 253Nm). These engines are known for their smooth performance. However, Creta does not currently have a hybrid engine option, which could give Duster an Advantage.

Price
Speaking of the same price, the EX-showroom price of Hyundai Creta is between ₹10.73 lakh to ₹20.20 lakh. It is considered the most value for money SUV of its segment in this range.
For Renault Duster 2026, the company must decide the price in a very strategic manner. If Duster was launched between ₹1 million to ₹17 lakhs, it could challenge not only Creta but also SUVs like Kia Seltos and Grand Vitara.
