The design reflects the classic FJ40 style
The Land Cruiser FJ’s design pays homage to its predecessor, the FJ40. Its boxy silhouette, high ground clearance, and short overhangs give it a true off-roader look. Dimensionally, this SUV measures 4,575 mm long, 1,855 mm wide, and 1,960 mm tall. Its 2,570 mm wheelbase provides excellent maneuverability.
The front features removable, chunky bumpers that are ideal for customization. C-shaped LED headlamps and the option of round lights add a modern touch to the classic design. Furthermore, details like the side cladding, roof rails, skid plates, and snorkel give it an adventure-ready look.
Interior Combination of Ruggedness and Comfort
The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ’s interior design is designed with both utility and convenience in mind. This SUV comes with a 5-seater layout, with elevated seats providing better road visibility. The cabin’s all-black theme and horizontal instrument panel give it a premium feel.
A large touchscreen infotainment system is located in the center, supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The digital instrument cluster provides the driver with all necessary information in real-time. Features like dual-zone climate control, steering-mounted controls, and foldable rear seats enhance practicality. Water-resistant materials also make it easy to clean after off-road trips.
No Compromise on Safety Features
The Land Cruiser FJ features the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) package, which is equipped with Level-2 ADAS features. This includes features like adaptive cruise control, hill-hold control, electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, and multiple airbags. Toyota has made safety a top priority in this model, ensuring complete safety not only during on-road but also off-road driving.
Engine and Performance
The new Land Cruiser FJ is powered by a 2.7-liter 2TR-FE naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 161 horsepower and 246 Nm of torque. This engine is sourced from the Hilux and Fortuner and is mated to a 6-speed Super ECT automatic gearbox. It features a 4WD drivetrain with selectable drive modes such as Sand, Mud, and Gravel. Its robust suspension system and high ground clearance make it reliable even on difficult terrain.
