While electric vehicle sales are declining globally, the opposite trend is being seen in India. Electric two-wheelers are rapidly gaining popularity among Indian consumers. Currently, electric scooters account for approximately 6% of the total two-wheeler market. Experts estimate that this share could double in the coming years.
Ola S1 Pro Sport (Gen 3)
Ola Electric launched its new Ola S1 Pro Sport (Gen 3) in August 2025. The scooter is priced at ₹1.50 lakh (ex-showroom), and customers can pre-book it for just ₹999. Deliveries for this model will begin in January 2026. It features a 5.2 kWh battery, slightly smaller than the 5.3 kWh battery in the S1 Pro+, but the range now reaches 320 km (IDC). It can be charged from 20% to 80% in 15 minutes using a fast charger.
Ultraviolette Tesseract
Ultraviolette’s Tesseract scooter is based on the company’s next-generation platform. It is priced at ₹1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). It features 14-inch wheels, telescopic front suspension, and a large 7-inch touchscreen TFT display. It also comes with an integrated dashcam, wireless phone charging, and several smart connectivity features, placing it firmly in the premium segment.
Hero Vida VX2
Hero MotoCorp launched the Vida VX2 electric scooter in 2025, which comes in two variants – the VX2 Go and VX2 Plus. The VX2 Go is priced at ₹99,490, and the VX2 Plus is priced at ₹1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). It features a 2.2 kWh removable battery that offers an IDC range of 92 km. It can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 70 km/h. The scooter features a 4.3-inch digital display and two ride modes – Eco and Ride.
Kinetic DX
The Kinetic DX electric scooter is inspired by popular scooters from the 1980s and 90s. It comes in two variants – DX and DX Plus, priced at ₹1,11,499 and ₹1,17,499, respectively. It features a 2.6 kWh LFP battery and a 4.8 kW motor. The scooter offers a top speed of 90 km/h and a range of 102 to 116 km. Its three ride modes, Range, Power, and Turbo, are designed for different driving needs.

TVS Orbiter
TVS recently launched its third electric scooter, the Orbiter, priced at ₹99,990 (ex-showroom). It features a 3.1 kWh battery with a claimed range of 158 km (IDC) on a full charge. The scooter includes features like a digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth support, smartphone connectivity, cruise control, hill hold function, and reverse parking assist.
