Aadhaar Mascot Competition : The Unique Identification Authority of India ( UIDAI ) , under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India,invites the general public to participate in the Aadhaar Mascot Design Competition through the MyGov platform. This mascot will be a visual representative of UIDAI, embodying its values ​​of trust, empowerment, inclusiveness, and digital innovation.

Objective of the competition

Create a unique and memorable mascot that represents Aadhaar’s values ​​of inclusivity, security, accessibility, and empowerment. Raise awareness of Aadhaar and strengthen civic engagement. Establish an emotional connect with people of all ages, including children and youth. Explain complex systems in a simple and engaging way. Humanize the Aadhaar brand and use the mascot for effective communication across various platforms.

Contest deadline

The contest will be open from October 6, 2025, to October 31, 2025. No entries will be accepted after the deadline. UIDAI reserves the right to extend or shorten the contest period.

Eligibility

The contest is open to all Indian citizens, regardless of age, gender, profession, or background. Both individual and team entries are accepted. A participant may submit only one entry.

Mascot Design Guidelines

The design should reflect UIDAI’s core principles of trust, inclusivity, service, security, and digital empowerment. It should be original and unique, and should not resemble any existing character or trademark. It should be simple, attractive, and appeal to all ages. It should be suitable for use in various mediums such as print, digital, animation, merchandise, etc. It should be flexible for future adaptation into 3D, animated, or other stylized formats. It should not contain objectionable, discriminatory, or inappropriate content. It should not infringe on any third-party copyright or trademark.

Presentation Requirements

Entries will only be accepted through the official MyGov contest page. Entries must include high-resolution mascot images (in PDF, minimum 300 DPI, 1920×1080 pixels). A one-word name for the mascot. A short description of up to 200 words, including the concept and symbolism of the design.

Shortlisted candidates must submit editable source files (AI/CDR/EPS/SVG). Submissions must be original and unpublished.

Evaluation Process

UIDAI will evaluate the designs based on the following criteria.
Creativity, originality and uniqueness (30%)
Alignment with UIDAI’s values ​​and objectives (25%)
Aesthetic appeal, simplicity and universal relevance (25%)
Adaptability and scalability to diverse formats (20%)
The decision of UIDAI will be final and binding.

First Prize: Rs 50,000 and certificate
Second Prize: Rs 30,000 and certificate
Third Prize: Rs 20,000 and certificate
Appreciation certificates for the next 5 entries

Second Prize: Rs 10,000 and certificate
Third Prize: Rs 5,000 and certificate
UIDAI reserves the right to further use, modify, and enhance the 8 selected designs.

Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)

The eight selected designs will become the property of UIDAI. UIDAI will have the right to perpetual, worldwide, and exclusive use of the designs. Selected participants must guarantee the originality and independence of the designs. Participants grant permission to UIDAI to use their name, photo and submitted material for promotional purposes without additional compensation. AI-generated mascot designs will not be accepted. Participants must comply with all contest rules. UIDAI reserves the right to cancel, modify, or withdraw the contest for any reason.
