Good news for government employees this festive season. Several state governments have increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) for their employees. These states include Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. Let’s see in detail how much the DA has increased in each state and when the employees will start getting this benefit.
Jharkhand
The Hemant Soren government has increased DA by 3% for government employees and pensioners before Diwali. DA has gone up from 55% to 58%. This increase will start from July 1. About 3 lakh employees and pensioners will benefit from this.
Uttarakhand
The Pushkar Singh Dhami government has also increased DA by 3% for state employees. DA has gone up from 55% to 58%. The increase will start from July 1, and the amount will be credited to employees’ accounts before Diwali. The government has also decided to give a bonus to the employees.
Himachal Pradesh
The Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government has increased DA by 3% for state employees. About 1.91 lakh employees and 1.71 lakh pensioners will benefit. Employees’ salaries will increase by at least Rs 800 per month. The increased DA will be added to the October salary and will be available in November.
Madhya Pradesh
The Madhya Pradesh government has increased DA and DR by 2% for employees and pensioners. DA under the 7th Pay Commission has increased to 55%, and DR under the 6th Pay Commission has increased to 252%. The increase will start from September 1, and the increased salary will be available from October.
This DA increase will give financial relief to government employees during the festive season and bring smiles to their families. Employees have welcomed this decision.
