Royal Enfield Himalayan 450
The prices of the top variants of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 have increased approximately ₹22,000 after GST 2.0. Previously its prices ranged between ₹2.85 lakh to ₹2.98 lakh, which has now increased from ₹3.06 lakh to ₹3.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

The bike features a 452cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled Sherpa engine. This engine produces 40hp @ 8,000rpm and 40Nm torque @ 5,500rpm. It also has a 6-speed gearbox. The variants have minor color variations, Kaza Brown, Slate Himalayan Salt, Slate Poppy Blue, Kamet White and Hanle Black. The Hanle Black variant gives the most premium look.
These increases in Himalayan 450 prices are a bit shocking, but this bike still remains an attractive option for off-road and long-riding enthusiasts.
KTM 390 Adventure X
At the same time, the prices of KTM 390 Adventure X did not increase after GST 2.0. This bike is still available in ₹3.03 lakhs (ex-showroom). KTM had already added new features such as Cruise Control, Riding Modes (Street, Rain, Off-road), Cornering ABS and Traction Control.

Although the 390 Adventure X features 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, the top-spec 390 Adventure features 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels. Its light curb weight and feature-packed design make it a bike offering better value than Himalayan.

Price and features
Also, the Himalayan 450 was slightly cheaper before GST 2.0, but KTM kept prices stable by adjusting the GST increase to its level. This meant that the KTM 390 Adventure X is now about ₹17,000 cheaper than the top variants of the Himalayan 450 and about ₹3,000 cheaper than the base variants.
While the Himalayan 450 is preferred for more torque and classic design, the KTM 390 offers better value due to Adventure X features, lighter weight and alloy wheels. If you want a good performance in both the city and off-road, the KTM 390 Adventure X becomes an attractive option.
