Bihar Elections 2025: The bugle has sounded for the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections. According to Election Commission guidelines, elections will be held in two phases for all 243 seats in Bihar. The Election Commission has announced the dates, but seat-sharing between the NDA and Grand Alliance constituents has not yet been finalised.
It was expected that the NDA’s seat-sharing formula would be finalised on Wednesday, but that did not happen. Lok Janshakti Party chief Chirag Paswan has raised concerns for the NDA. Speculation is rife that Chirag Paswan may break ties with the NDA. If he is not allocated the seats he desires, the NDA’s difficulties could increase. Read below what Chirag Paswan said about seat-sharing.
Chirag Paswan made a significant statement.
Lok Janshakti Party chief Chirag Paswan’s statement, while remembering his father Ram Vilas Paswan on his death anniversary, is enough to raise concerns for the BJP and JDU. In fact, in the last assembly elections, Chirag Paswan had split from the LJP after the party failed to secure the desired number of seats, a result of which was borne by Nitish Kumar’s JDU.
Remembering his father, Chirag Paswan said, “Papa always used to say, ‘Don’t commit crime, don’t tolerate crime. If you want to live, learn to die, learn to fight at every step.'” In another tweet, Chirag Paswan wrote, “My respects to you on Papa’s death anniversary.”
I assure you that I am fully committed to following your path and realising your vision of Bihar First and Bihari First. The dream of comprehensive and all-round development of Bihar that you envisioned has now come to materialise.
