Bihar Assembly Elections 2025: The Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases, for which everyone from the administrative level to political parties has geared up. All political parties have intensified their efforts. According to political pundits, the Bihar Assembly elections are likely to be a contest between the NDA and the All India Alliance. However, the Jan Suraj Party is also claiming victory.
On the other hand, the seat-sharing formula within the NDA has not yet been finalised. Lok Janshakti Party chief Chirag Paswan has created a hurdle in seat-sharing. His demand for more seats has made things unclear.
Meanwhile, Chirag Paswan has made a major change by appointing LJP MP Arun Bharti as the state election in-charge for the Bihar Assembly elections. He has now taken a major decision by appointing the Bihar state president as co-in-charge.
Seat-sharing is a major issue within the NDA.
The seat-sharing issue within the Grand Alliance has almost reached its final stages, but the NDA’s constituent parties are still in a deadlock. According to sources, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) made its seat demands during a 50-minute meeting between Chirag Paswan and BJP leaders Dharmendra Pradhan and Vinod Tawde in Delhi on Tuesday.
Chirag Paswan’s party wants to win 30 to 35 seats this time, but the BJP and JDU appear unwilling to agree to this. The BJP and JDU are considering giving the LJP only 20 to 22 seats. This is why the NDA’s share of seats has not been announced.
The LJP wants two seats for each of the five Lok Sabha seats it won. Meanwhile, speculation is rife that if Chirag Paswan is underestimated, he may align with Jansuraj Party chief Prashant Kishor. This could be a major setback for the NDA alliance.
