The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rain in more than 32 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Winds gusting up to 40 kilometres per hour are expected here. The IMD has predicted heavy rain in Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Deoria, and Kushinagar. Thunderstorms and lightning are also likely.

In addition, a heavy rain warning has been issued for Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, and Ghazipur. Heavy rain is possible in Mau, Basti, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, and Ayodhya. Rainfall is also possible in several areas, including Sultanpur and Ambedkar Nagar.
