SBI Scholarship 2025: Good news for student’s. The State Bank of India (SBI) has launched a special scholarship scheme for meritorious students studying in India and abroad. The scheme is called the SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025. The bank is providing scholarships to students as part of its CSR activities.

The special feature of this scheme is that you can be studying in any school from class 9th to 12th, or studying engineering or medicine, are an IIM student, are pursuing any other UG or PG course, or want to study abroad. All types of people can benefit from the SBI Scholarship.

In 2025, approximately 23,230 meritorious students pursuing various courses will benefit from this scholarship. Launched by the SBI Foundation, this scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to talented students from humble backgrounds, enabling them to complete their education without interruption. This year, the SBI Foundation has budgeted a total of ₹90 crore for the scholarship scheme.

Stipend up to Rs 20 lakh will be given

On the social media platform X, State Bank of India stated that education is the key to a better future, and the Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025-26 is an effort to make it accessible to as many students as possible. Under this SBI scholarship scheme, eligible students will be provided financial assistance ranging from Rs 15,000 to Rs 2 million, depending on their tuition and course fees.

These students will get scholarship

1 – Students from high school to intermediate i.e. from 9th class to 12th class will get the benefit.

2 – Students pursuing UG or PG courses can avail the benefit.

3 – Includes students studying in IITs or IIMs.

4 – Students studying in other medical colleges like Delhi AIIMS, JIPMER, AFMC, BHU IMS, CMC Vellore are also included.

5 – Students pursuing higher education outside the country, in any foreign university or institute, can apply.

This is the eligibility for the scholarship

To qualify for the SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025, students’ family income should not exceed ₹3 lakh. Similarly, for scholarships for college and other higher education, the family income should not exceed ₹6 lakh. Only students who have achieved at least 75% marks in their previous academic course can apply.

Up to Rs 15,000 for students of classes 9 to 12

Up to Rs 75,000 for undergraduate students

Up to Rs 2.50 lakh for postgraduate students

Up to Rs 4.50 lakh to medical students

Up to Rs 2 lakh to IIT students

Up to Rs 5 lakh to IIM students

Up to Rs 20 lakh for students seeking higher education abroad

The registration window for this scholarship is open from September 19, 2025. Eligible candidates can apply until November 15, 2025.
