Maruti Suzuki vehicles have always been known for their reliability and affordable prices in the Indian automobile market. But now the company has taken a major step forward in safety as well. Its recently launched new SUV, the VICTORIS, has achieved a 5-star rating in both adult and child occupant safety categories in crash tests conducted by Global NCAP. This success is a major achievement for the company, especially after the Dzire, which is its second car to receive a 5-star rating under Global NCAP’s new and stricter protocols.
Maruti’s Seriousness About Safety and Transparency

This rating is not just a number, but reflects Maruti Suzuki’s seriousness about safety. The company voluntarily submitted the VICTORIS for crash testing, which demonstrates its transparency and commitment to prioritizing customer safety. Global NCAP CEO Richard Woods also praised this achievement. He said that the VICTORIS’s 5-star rating reflects Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to providing superior safety in its new vehicles. This is a positive sign for Indian vehicle customers.
Crash Test Results
According to the crash test report, the Maruti Suzuki VICTORIS’s structure and footwell area were found to be completely stable, capable of withstanding additional loads. This SUV comes standard with six airbags, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), and pedestrian protection. ADAS technology is also available as an option.

In all crash tests, the vehicle provided adequate protection for adult passengers in all body areas. Complete head protection was also observed in the side impact and pole tests. In terms of child occupant safety, dummies of children aged 18 months and three years were found to be completely safe in child seats with ISOFIX anchorages and leg support.
