Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has always been known for its good mileage and easy driving, which is why it is one of the best-selling cars in India. But now, after the big change in GST rates by the central government, this car has become even cheaper than before. This decision has come into effect from September 22, which has benefited people, especially those buying small vehicles.

New GST rules

The government has reduced the tax on certain types of cars by changing the GST slab. Now, cars with less than 1200cc petrol and less than 1500cc diesel engine, and less than 4 meters will be charged only 18% instead of 28% GST. Maruti Alto K10 falls in this category, due to which its price has come down drastically. Apart from this, vehicles with engines larger than 1500cc and larger than 4 meters will now be charged only 40% GST, due to which the earlier 22% cess has been removed. Overall, now cars will be taxed less, which will reduce their price.

How much reduction in the price of the Maruti Alto K10

After the reduction in GST, a new enthusiasm is being seen in the automobile industry. Many car companies have welcomed this decision and have also announced a reduction in the prices of their vehicles. Maruti Suzuki Chairman RC Bhargava has said that with this change, the company’s most popular cars will now become even cheaper.

According to him, the price of the Maruti Alto K10 can come down by ₹ 40,000 to ₹ 50,000. Along with this, he also said that the price of WagonR can also be reduced by ₹ 60,000 to ₹ 67,000.
