Now, cars with less than 1200cc petrol and less than 1500cc diesel engine, and less than 4 meters will be charged only 18% instead of 28% GST. Apart from this, vehicles with engines larger than 1500cc and larger than 4 meters will now be charged only 40% GST, due to which the earlier 22% cess has been removed. Overall, now cars will be taxed less, which will reduce their price.
