New Delhi: The government is taking various steps to curb road accidents. Now work is being done to implement a lane system on big highways. To curb the increasing road accidents, work is being done to implement a lane system on a 125 km stretch from Chandwaji to Shahjahanpur on the Delhi road.
This powerful pilot project is to start strictly from 6 September, which everyone is waiting for. For this, an awareness campaign has been run for the last 10 days under the leadership of Jaipur Rural and Kotputli-Bahadur Superintendents of Police. Drivers have also been informed to drive in lanes at hotels and highway halts. Under this campaign, more than 100 illegal cuts have also been closed.

How will vehicles be monitored?
Ignoring the rules can prove costly for drivers. Police teams on the highway will make videos of vehicles. Along with this, the videos will be shared in their group. Toll plazas and other teams present at five places will issue challans on the same basis. There is also a provision for strict action if someone violates the rules.
How will action be taken for breaking the rules?
A challan of Rs 2000 will be issued for breaking the lane system. Along with this, an additional fine will be imposed for other violations of the Motor Vehicle Act. Along with this, the vehicle will also be seized if the documents are not found. Road accidents were happening continuously due to overspeeding and ignoring the rules on the highway.
To stop these, the lane system was implemented under the pilot project from Chandwaji to Shahjahanpur. From September 6, challans will be issued to the violators.
