To avail of this service, you first need to visit the official website of the electricity company, portal.mpcz.in. After logging in to the website, you will see several services in the main menu.
Name Change Option in LT Other Services
Select the LT Other Services option in the main menu. In this section, you will find the Name Transfer option. Clicking on it will open the online application form.
Required Documents for the Application
While applying online, you will need to accurately fill in your connection details, old name, and new name. You will also need to upload some necessary documents with the application. These may include your IVRS number, Aadhaar card, PAN card, and other identity proofs.

Document Upload and OTP Verification
All documents should be clear and scanned. After submitting the form, you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. After entering the OTP, your verification is complete, and the process moves forward.
Online Payment and Name Update
After verification, you have to pay the prescribed fee of Rs. 170 online for the name change. Once the payment is made, your application reaches the department. After the departmental verification is complete, the new name will be updated on your electricity connection.
