Ayushman Bharat Scheme:- The Modi government is currently implementing several schemes. The government is providing various facilities for farmers and low-income individuals. Health is the most important part of every person’s life. If someone gets sick, a significant amount of money is spent on medicines and treatment. To avoid this, many people also purchase health insurance in advance, so that there is no financial burden in case of a sudden illness. But there are many people who do not even have the money to take insurance.

In such a situation, Ayushman Bharat Yojana is being run by the central government for the poor needy people of the country, under which free treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh is available. This scheme has proved to be a big relief for crores of people of the country. But you will not believe that there is a state that is still deprived of this scheme.

When was this scheme started?

The Ayushman Bharat Yojana was launched in 2018. Its purpose is to provide a cashless treatment facility to the poor and needy people. Under this scheme, there is a facility to get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. Now, the elderly are also receiving separate treatment under this scheme.

The West Bengal state government has not yet approved the Ayushman Bharat scheme. In such a situation, people are not able to take advantage of the scheme. Here, the state government has initiated its own scheme, allowing people to access health services. This step has brought significant relief to elderly and low-income families.

The name of this scheme is Swasthya Sathi Yojana. Under this, patients are getting the facility of cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. The elderly also get treatment under this scheme.

Under the Swasthya Sathi Yojana, people get a digital card. By showing these cards, people of the state can get free treatment in both government and private hospitals.

Let us tell you that the elderly above 70 years of age are given a separate treatment of 5 lakhs in the Ayushman scheme, but such a facility is not available in the Swasthya Sathi scheme of West Bengal.
