Top 6 Cars Launching in India: September 2025 will be special for Indian car buyers. Before the festive season begins, most of the leading players are gearing up to bring out their new offerings. From electric SUVs to design-oriented petrol cars, this assortment is likely to draw customers in a broad spectrum who are searching for newer choices.

Vinfast VF6

Vietnam’s Vinfast, an electric car maker, will begin operations in India on 6 September. It will introduce the VF6 model with a 59.6 kWh battery that guarantees a driving range of 480 km. It will be manufactured in the company’s facility in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu.

Vinfast VF7

In addition to VF6, the brand will introduce VF7 with a bigger 70.8 kWh battery. This SUV has an estimated range of 450 km. Similar to VF6, this too will be manufactured locally, which will provide Vinfast with a solid foothold in the Indian market.

Maruti Escudo SUV

Maruti Suzuki is set to launch a new mid-size SUV called Escudo on 3 September. It is based on the same platform as the Grand Vitara but will be bigger in terms of size and also offer a robust hybrid engine choice. It will be priced at about ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be retailed through Arena showrooms.

Mahindra Thar Facelift

Mahindra is set to launch the new, facelift version of its best-selling Thar SUV in early September. The new model will come with new exterior design updates and a new 10.25-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system. Engine options will not change from the previous model, however.

Citroen Basalt X

Citroen India has already started taking orders for the Basalt X with a token of ₹21,000. The vehicle will be available from mid-September. It will have new colour options and modern features while retaining the well-known 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. Manual and automatic transmission options will be available.

Volvo EX30

Volvo will bring its most affordable electric SUV, the EX30, to India in September. Priced around ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom), it will feature a 69 kWh battery pack with 480 km WLTP range. Thanks to a 150 kW DC fast charger, the battery can be fully charged in just 25 minutes. Volvo is also offering an 8-year warranty on the electric powertrain.
