Jharkhand Technical Education. The state government has taken a big step in Jharkhand; now, private participation is going to be ensured in the technical education institutions of the state. Recently, three important bills have been passed in the assembly. After this, the government is going to finalise this draft under the Public Private Partnership i.e. PPP policy.

Let us tell you that in higher education, the private model will be implemented to manage some technical education departments like engineering colleges and professional colleges being established by the education board in the state, for which the government has geared up. This policy of the government will strengthen the technical education structure of the state and ensure quality education.

The government will implement an umbrella policy.

The state government in Jharkhand is now going to implement an umbrella policy for this, under which the private sector will be given the responsibility of its operation. Till now, various institutions have been operated in a PPP mode under different conditions and periods.

In the information that has come out about this scheme, the government is considering implementing rules like reservation for the local youth of Jharkhand, reduction in fees, and the number of management quotas. The objective of this step of the government is to give the responsibility of operation to private partners, thereby ensuring the interests of the students and quality education.

PPP model is applicable here

Let us tell you that the PPP model has been implemented in many engineering colleges of the state, due to which three engineering colleges in the state—Ramgarh, Chaibasa and Dumka—are being operated on a PPP model. The government is soon going to operate Silli Polytechnic and some other polytechnic institutes on a PPP model. For which the government can issue a notification.

So in the coming time, a new engineering college can be established in Bokaro and a professional college in Godda in PPP mode, and a new engineering college is also to be built in Jamshedpur. Engineering colleges in Gola and Koderma have been selected to be run by a private partner. Apart from this, there is a plan to establish new engineering colleges in many other districts, including Ranchi, Gumla and Giridih. These new colleges will also be run in PPP mode.
