UP Monsoon Alert: The festival of Janmashtami is being celebrated with great pomp across the country today, due to which great enthusiasm is being seen among the people of the Hindu religion. On the other hand, the weather can also disrupt the celebration of Janmashtami. Heavy rain is expected at many places across the country. We are going to tell you about the weather in UP.

Rain in many districts of Uttar Pradesh can fade the joy of Janmashtami. There may be heavy rain with thunder in many areas from the West to the East UP. Due to heavy rains in many areas of Uttar Pradesh late at night, the temperature level has dropped. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert of rain with thunder in many districts of UP. The rain is expected to continue till August 21.

Heavy rain is likely in these districts of UP.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in many districts of UP on August 16, i.e. today. IMD has predicted heavy rains with thunder and lightning in Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad and Rampur. Along with this, a heavy rain alert has also been issued in Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Amroha and Ghaziabad.

Heavy rain alert has been issued in Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Sambhal and Aligarh. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains have been predicted in Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Badaun, Bareilly and Pilibhit. Heavy rains may also occur in Shahjahanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich and Chitrakoot. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in Banda, Mahoba, Jhansi and Lalitpur.

Rain alert in these states, too

Apart from Uttar Pradesh, rain is expected in many states. Heavy rains are also expected in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra of South India. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in Goa and Karnataka.

There may be heavy rains in Manipur, Sikkim, and  Tripura in the Northeast. Apart from these, there may be rains in Mizoram, Nagaland, Puducherry and Arunachal Pradesh. The spell of rain may continue in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand as well.
