Monsoon Alert: Heavy rains are being witnessed in the plains of North India as well as the hilly areas. Rain has started once again in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Due to continuous rains, incidents of landslides are being seen here, with many routes being blocked. Flood-like situation has arisen in many parts of Bihar and Rajasthan due to heavy rains.
The temperature also dropped here, giving relief to the people from the heat. It has been raining since morning in many areas of Uttar Pradesh, where the temperature has dropped significantly. It rained in many areas of Moradabad, Bareilly and Bijnor in western UP, where there has been relief from the sticky heat. The situation has become scary due to the rain in the northeastern states as well. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rain in different parts of the country.

Rain in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder in some areas of Jammu and Kashmir on July 24. IMD has predicted heavy rains again between 27 and 29 July. The Meteorological Department has also predicted heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh from 24 July and 27 to 29 July. Heavy rains are expected in Uttarakhand between 24 and 29 July.
Rain in Rajasthan
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in western Rajasthan from 27 to 29 July. Apart from this, heavy rains are expected in eastern Rajasthan from 24 July and 27-28 July. Heavy rains are expected on a large scale in Rajasthan between 27 and 30 July.
Weather in Bihar and UP
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Bihar within the next 48 hours. Along with this, the temperature is also expected to drop by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius. Heavy rains are expected in Araria, Purnia, Begusarai, Kishanganj and Lakhisarai of Bihar. Here, an alert has been issued for heavy rain along with lightning in Munger, Jamui, Gaya, Jehanabad, Nawada, Banka and Bhagalpur.
There is a possibility of rain in 13 districts of UP. There may be heavy rain in Lalitpur, Mahoba, Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj and Pratapgarh. Apart from these, heavy rain is also expected in Mirzapur, Varanasi, Ghazipur, Mau, Ballia and Sonbhadra.
