Aadhaar Card Rules- Aadhar: If your child’s Aadhaar card has been made at the age of less than 5 years, then now you have to do an important thing. UIDAI has changed the rules of Aadhar related to children. Now it is mandatory to update the biometrics in the Aadhar card after the child turns 7 years old. That is, it will be necessary to update the child’s fingerprints and eye scanning. If this work is not done on time, then their Aadhar number can be deactivated.
UIDAI issued new rule
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has recently informed that they have started sending SMS to the mobile numbers linked to the Aadhaar of children, in which information about biometric update is being given. Now if you had made Aadhaar for your child at the age of less than 5 years, then it will be mandatory to update the biometrics when the child turns 7 years old.
UIDAI said this
UIDAI has said that this process is necessary because biometrics are not taken while making Aadhaar for children below the age of 5 years. At that time, the Aadhaar card is made only on the basis of the child’s photo, name, date of birth, gender and the parents’ documents.
Now these will be the new rules of Aadhaar
When the child turns 5 years old, his biometrics need to be updated for the first time. But if he does not get this update done even after turning 7 years old, then according to UIDAI rules, his Aadhaar number can be invalidated or temporarily closed.
You will have to pay a charge for updating
UIDAI said that if the biometric update is done between the ages of 5 and 7 years, then it is absolutely free. But if this update is done after the age of 7 years, then a fee of Rs 100 will have to be paid. The biometric updated Aadhaar card helps the child to take advantage of school admission, scholarship, examination form and other government facilities. Therefore, now it will be necessary to get it updated on time.
