Crores of farmers across the country are waiting for the 20th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. Under this scheme, ₹2,000 is sent to the bank accounts of eligible farmers every four months. Now, preparations for the next instalment are in the final stage. The government may soon transfer the money to the accounts of the beneficiary farmers.
When Will the 20th Instalment Come?
As per media reports, the 20th instalment of the PM Kisan Yojana may come around July 18. It is expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi might announce it during a program in Motihari, Bihar. But till now, the government has not confirmed the date officially. The last (19th) instalment was given in February 2025.
What Should Farmers Do to Get the 20th Instalment?
The government has asked farmers to complete these things on time:
- Do e-KYC
- Update bank details
- Make sure your name is in the beneficiary list
- If there is any mistake in the details or if you are not eligible, the money may not come.
How to Check Your Name in the PM Kisan List
- Go to pmkisan.gov.in
- Click on “Beneficiary List” under the “Farmer Corner”
- Select your State, District, Block, and Village
- Click on “Get Report” to see if your name is in the list
How to Check CSC or Self-Registration Status
- Go to the option “Self-Registered Farmer/CSC Farmer Status” on the website
- Enter your Aadhaar number and the captcha
- You will see your registration and approval status on the screen
- If your name is in the list, you will get the 20th instalment.
- If not, contact the nearest officer quickly and fix the problem.
What to Do If There Is a Problem?
If there is any issue like:
- Aadhaar and bank account do not match
- Wrong mobile number
- KYC not done
- Then go to pmkisan.gov.in, search for the contact of your district’s officer (POC), and talk to them.
How to Do e-KYC Easily
- To get the money, e-KYC is very important. You can do it in 3 simple ways:
- OTP Method – If your Aadhaar is linked with your mobile number
- Biometric Method – Visit the nearest CSC centre
- Face Scan Method – For old or disabled farmers, CSC centres have this option
