New Delhi: North India is still waiting for monsoon rains. Due to a yearning for water, farmers are looking towards the sky to see when the monsoon will arrive. It is expected that the wait for the monsoon will soon come to an end. In some parts of Uttar Pradesh, unmonsoon rains brought relief from the heat two days ago. On Saturday, people were drenched in heat due to the increase in temperature throughout the day.
The heat was such that even pedestrians were seen walking on the road with umbrellas. It is being speculated that the monsoon may enter UP between June 20 and 25. Currently, the paddy plantation jungle lies vacant, waiting for rain. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. People are expected to be cautious inn thissituation.
How will the weather be in these districts?
According to IMD, there is a possibility of gusty winds in Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, and Pratapgarh on Sunday. Apart from these, a strong wind alert has been issued in Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi and Sant Ravidas Nagar. There is a possibility of rain with thunder in Jaunpur, Ghazipur and Azamgarh.
Additionally, an alert for light rain has been issued for Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, and Basti. A warning of light rain has also been issued in Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich and Lakhimpur Kheri.
An alert of thunder and lightning has been issued in Sitapur, Hardoi, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki and Rae Bareli. Gusty winds can also blow here.

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain accompanied by strong winds in Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, and Baghpat of Uttar Pradesh. Apart from these, rain with thunder is expected in Meerut, Mathura, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bijnor, and Amroha. There is a possibility of strong winds in Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur and many other areas.
When can the monsoon arrive?
According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon can enter Uttar Pradesh anytime after June 20. Starting from eastern Uttar Pradesh, it can gradually pick up speed as it moves towards the western parts. There is a possibility of rain in most parts of the state between June 18 and 20.
