Weather Alert: The next 5 days will not be easy in terms of weather, because somewhere there can be rain, and somewhere there can be storms and thunderstorms. The weather can also turn bad in the capi,tal De,lhi athe nd surrounding areas. Peoply got relief from the heat due to strong winds in the areas of western UP and Uttarakhand at midnight, but then the situation remained as it was.

On the other hand, it is expected that by June 1, 2025, monsoon rains will enter Kerala. If this happens, monsoon can reach Delhi by June 20, 2025. Once again, there can be upheaval in the weather in North-West India. Apart from this, a rain warning has been issued in many areas of South India. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, rain and thunderstorms may occur in different parts of the country.

How will the weather be in the northwestern parts?

According to the IMD, the weather may remain bad in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during May 18-20, where wa arning of rain has been issued. Punjab, Haryana, and Western Uttar Pradesh are also expected to have light to moderate rain with thunderstorms.

Strong winds are expected to blow at 30 to 50 kmph here. Heavy rain with lightning and cloudburst is expected in Punjab, Haryana, and Uttarakhand on May 16, and in eastern Rajasthan on May 17 and 18.

How will the weather be in these states?

According to the IMD, the weather will remain bad in eastern and central India for the next 5 days. Thunderstorms and rain can become a problem for people in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha. Thunderstorms are expected in Bihar, West Bengal and Sikkim at 30-50 kmph.

Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is expected. Scattered to very heavy rains are expected in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on May 16 and 17.

Weather will be bad for 5 days in South India.

According to IMD, heavy rains in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana and Karnataka in South Indiamay be possible  for the next 5 days. Heavy rains may occur in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and Kerala. Apart from this, there is a possibility of thunder, lightning and strong winds in Mahe.
