DA Increase – After central government, now one more state government increases DA. The dearness allowance of government employees and pensioners in Uttarakhand has increased by two percent. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved the file. This will increase the salary by Rs 700 to Rs 4000 per month.
On the lines of the central government, the state has also approved giving two percent dearness allowance. Employees of the Dhami government, pensioners, dependents, local bodies, aided educational institutions as well as employees of state universities and technical educational institutions will get the benefit of this.
Along with this, the employees-pensioners working in UGC pay scale, who have been allowed the seventh revised pay scale, will also come under this purview. The rates of dearness allowance will be applicable from January 1, 2025. The Finance Department will soon issue formal orders for this. There are 1,70,000 employees and 1,45,000 pensioners in the state.
Employees of corporations will have to wait
There are about 35 thousand employees working in various corporations of Uttarakhand. They will have to wait for the increased dearness allowance. This order will be issued by the Industrial Development Department to give this benefit to the employees of the corporations.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister has also approved the construction of tehsil buildings in Champawat and Lamgada. Rs 17.74 crore has been sanctioned for this. Rs 13.86 crore will be spent on the construction of the building of Tehsil Champawat, while Rs 3.88 crore has been approved for the construction of Lamgada Tehsil building in Almora. Rs 5.63 crore has been approved for various construction works in Udham Singh Nagar and Pithoragarh.
