The government has launched various initiatives to support small and economically weak farmers. In this effort, the Madhya Pradesh government is now offering a huge subsidy to farmers on agricultural equipment. According to the Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Department, farmers can apply on the portal from February 11 to avail of the subsidy on purchasing agricultural equipment. Based on the applications submitted by the last date, the government will conduct a lottery on February 19, 2025. Let’s learn more about this scheme in detail.
These Farmers Will Get a Subsidy
Buying agricultural equipment will now be easier because the Madhya Pradesh Agricultural Engineering Department is offering a 50 to 60% subsidy under the Agricultural Equipment Subsidy Scheme.
Which Farmers Will Benefit?
- Small and Marginal Farmers – 50 to 60% subsidy
- Farmers of All Other Categories – 40 to 50% subsidy
Demand Draft Amount Required for Agricultural Equipment
If you are applying for a subsidy on agricultural equipment, you will need to submit a demand draft (DD) for the prescribed amount. Here is the amount required for each piece of equipment:
- Power Weeder – ₹3100
- Power Tiller (more than 8 BHP) – ₹5000
- Power Harrow – ₹3500
- Shredder/Mulcher – ₹5500
- Straw Reaper – ₹10,000
- Reaper (Automatic/Tractor Driven) – ₹3300
Important: Before getting the demand draft made, confirm the amount with the concerned department or office to avoid any issues in the process.

How to Apply for Subsidy on Equipment
If you want to get a subsidy on agricultural equipment, you need to apply on the ‘e-Krishi Yantra Anudan’ portal. The process is online to make it easier for farmers. Here is the complete process:

Application Process
- Step 1: Click on ‘Apply for Grant’.
- Step 2: A new page will open with the “Aadhaar Verification” option.
- Step 3: You will have two options here:
- Registered Farmer: If you are already registered, enter your Aadhaar number and click on ‘Verify Aadhaar’.
New Registration: If you are applying for the first time, click on ‘New Registration of Farmer’.

Select the device for verification.
Scan your fingerprint and complete the application.
