Certifications are some of the first official pieces of information we get about new phones and there’s a new one for the Xiaomi 18. The Xiaomi 18 (Model Number: M261DB) has been certified by China’s 3C certification, with the listing showing support for 100W fast charging. The Xiaomi 18 is widely known to be the standard model and is expected to launch in December. However, nothing has been confirmed by Xiaomi.
What we know
This listing was uploaded on 6th November 2026. While it does confirm support for 100W wired fast charging, no phone name or release date has been given. The model was first revealed back in late September when it passed through radio certification with China’s Ministry of Industry. This is one of the last steps before a phone launches and often happens a few weeks before launch.
Why December makes sense
In August Digital Chat Station said that the Xiaomi 18 Pro models would be launching first, with the standard model launching in December. The Pro and Pro Max launched in China on the 23rd September so it makes sense that the standard model would be next. This listing was uploaded in early November.
Specs of the Xiaomi 18
As per leaks, the standard Xiaomi 18 is expected to have a large 7200 mAh battery, around 200mAh larger than the expected Xiaomi 18 Pro. There are some reports that it could feature a Leica tuned triple rear camera setup. It may also feature the same chip as the Pro. Charging is expected to be 100W wired with wireless charging.
Global Version
There is another listing in the NCC database of Taiwan showing a global version of the Xiaomi 18. This version is offering 256GB and 512GB storage, IP68 rating and a 100W charging support. This listing was uploaded more than a month before the equivalent Xiaomi 17 filing, suggesting that Xiaomi could be looking to launch this model quicker globally. Some reports are speculating that the standard Xiaomi 18 and Ultra could launch together in December, however this is an educated guess.
Will it launch in India?
Unfortunately there is no confirmation on when or how much the Xiaomi 18 will cost in India. Xiaomi have confirmed the Pro series will be launching globally this year, but have made no mention of plans for the base model. The Xiaomi 17 is already available in India and offers up to 100W charging. This suggests that it will keep similar specs.
Should I wait?
If you’re looking for a small flagship with fast charging and great camera specs then the Xiaomi 18 is something to look out for. However the December release date is just an estimate and the specs are leaked. We recommend waiting for Xiaomi to officially announce the phone and see how much it costs and what features it has compared to the Xiaomi 18 Pro and other flagships.
