Its 12GB RAM + 256GB variant is the base model, while the 12GB + 512GB model is priced at 4,799 yuan (approximately ₹60,000) and the 16GB + 512GB model costs 4,999 yuan (approximately ₹62,000). On the other hand, the starting price of the iPhone 17 starts at ₹82,900 (256GB of storage). Its 512GB model is available in ₹1,02,900. The iPhone 17 comes in five colors with Lavender, Mist Blue, Sage, White and Black.
Design and Build Quality
The Xiaomi 17 comes with a modern design with a hole-punch cutout on the front and a square camera module on the rear. Its metal frame gives a premium look, and the phone is water and dust resistant with IP68 ratings. The phone weighs 191 grams and has a thickness of 8.06mm.
At the same time, the iPhone comes with 17 aluminum frames and glass back design. Its camera setup is pill-shaped and provides protection for Ceramic Shield 2. It weighs only 177 grams, making it feel lighter than the Xiaomi 17.
display quality
The Xiaomi 17 offers a 6.3-inch OLED display that comes with a 1.5K resolution (2656x1220 pixels). It supports 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, HDR Vivid and Dolby Vision. Peak brightness of 3500 nits makes it extremely sharp.
The iPhone 17 also features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, which comes with 120Hz ProMotion technology and the Always-On Display feature. Its Ceramic Shield 2 gives the screen better protection from falls or scratches.
Processor and Performance
Xiaomi 17 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, built on a 3nm process. It provides Adreno GPU, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3. Its performance is powerful, and there is no problem with gaming or multitasking.
On the other hand, the iPhone 17 powers Apple's new A19 Bionic chipset. It has a 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine. It supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing and Apple Intelligence features, making it even smoother in AI tasks.
Battery and charging
The Xiaomi 17 offers a large battery of 7000mAh, which supports 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. This phone gets almost full charge in a few minutes. The iPhone 17 has a low battery capacity, but its optimization is superb. Apple claims that it can last up to 8 hours if charged just 10 minutes. This is accompanied by both fast charging and MagSafe wireless charging support.

The Xiaomi 17 has a triple camera setup tuned by Leica. It has a 50MP primary sensor, 50MP telephoto lens and 50MP ultra-wide camera. It also has a 50MP front camera that supports 4K video recording.
