State Bank of India (SBI) has introduced two special FD schemes for its customers. SBI Amrit Varsha and SBI Amrit Kalash. Both these schemes are for a limited period and provide investors with an opportunity to take advantage of attractive interest rates. SBI Amrit Varsha
The duration of this special FD of SBI is 444 days and the interest rates are different for different people. 7.25% per annum for general citizens,7.75% per annum for senior citizens. The last date to invest in it is 31 March 2025. Investors can invest in it both online and offline.
If a senior citizen invests ₹5,00,000 in this scheme,then after 444 days he will get around ₹5,47,945,which will include interest of ₹47,945.

SBI Amrit Kalash
This special FD scheme of SBI is for 400 days and the interest rates are also different in it. It has an interest rate of 7.10% per annum for general citizens and 7.60% per annum for senior citizens. If a general citizen invests ₹5,00,000 in this scheme,then after 400 days he will get around ₹5,38,082,which will include interest of ₹38,082.
SBI Patron
SBI has decided to launch a new fixed deposit variant called “SBI Patron” for super senior citizens (aged 80 years or above). Under this scheme,super senior citizens will be offered interest rates 10 basis points (bps) higher than the interest rates applicable to senior citizens. This move has been taken with the aim of providing additional financial security to senior citizens.
