Who can avail of the benefits of this scheme
To avail of the benefits of PM Surya Ghar Yojana,all electricity consumers must meet the following eligibility criteria:
All electricity consumers must be permanent residents of India.
There should not be any solar power connection at the electricity consumer’s home already.
All applicants must already have a valid electricity connection.
Electricity should not be used at a commercial level by any applicant.
The annual income of the applicant should be less than ₹1,50,000.
The applicant must have all the required documents related to the application completed.

While applying online for PM Surya Ghar Yojana,you will need the following documents:
Ration card
Residence certificate
Electricity bill
Income certificate
Aadhar card
Bank account passbook
Passport size photo etc.
How to apply online for PM Surya Ghar Yojana
Follow the steps given below to apply online for PM Surya Ghar Yojana:
- First of all open the official website of this scheme.
- Now click on the “Apply For Rooftop Solar” option given on the homepage.
- Now you will reach a new page,where enter your state,district,and required details.
- Now enter the name of your electricity distribution company and fill in the consumer account number.
- By doing this,the registration form will open,in which the registration process has to be completed.
- Now you have to scan and upload all your important documents.
- After this,the submit button will appear below,on which you have to click.
- As soon as you submit,the application process will be completed and then you have to take a printout of the application form.
