Vivo X500 Pro Max to Feature a Major Camera Upgrade
According to a Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese), Vivo is testing the X500 Pro Max with a new imaging system. Leaks indicate the inclusion of a 50-megapixel Sony LOFIC primary camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor.
The Vivo X500 Pro Max is expected to sport a triple-rear-camera setup, potentially including a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. Additionally, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera—featuring a 1/1.4-inch sensor and an 85mm focal length—may be included. The tipster also claims that the telephoto camera will support high-quality telephoto macro photography. Leaks further suggest that Vivo is testing an improved optical image stabilisation (OIS) lens. Previous reports suggest that the Vivo X500 Pro Max could be powered by MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.
The phone may feature LPDDR6 RAM. Earlier leaks indicate it could come with a 6.85-inch 2K OLED LTPO display boasting a 144Hz refresh rate. There is also speculation that the Vivo X500 Pro Max might feature a battery with a capacity of approximately 8,000 mAh. Various database listings suggest that the Vivo X500 Pro Max could also launch in the global market.

Vivo X500 series Leaked Specifications
The Vivo X500 series is expected to include at least four models: the Vivo X500e, X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. Just a few days ago, DCS revealed key specifications for the Vivo X500 Pro Max. DCS has reported that the upcoming Xiaomi 18 might feature a 7,200mAh battery. If this information proves accurate, the battery capacity would be 200mAh larger than that of the Chinese version of the Xiaomi 17 and 870mAh larger than the global version.
The Xiaomi 18 is also expected to sport a compact 6.3-inch display. Furthermore, the device is rumoured to include advanced features such as the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, a dual 200MP camera system (including a 3x periscope telephoto lens), ultrasonic fingerprint sensing, and full IP-rated waterproofing.
