Vivo V80 Series: Price, Launch Date, and Specifications (Expected)
Tipster Sanju Choudhary (@saaaanjjjuuu) claimed in a post on the social media platform X that the Vivo V80 series will be launched in the Indian market in August. Regarding pricing, the Vivo V80 lineup might compete with the Oppo Reno 16, which was recently launched in India with a starting price of ₹61,999 for the base variant.
A significant price hike could be seen with the Vivo V80 lineup. The Vivo V70 was launched in India on February 19; its 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage configurations were priced at ₹45,999 and ₹49,999, respectively.
In terms of specifications, the Vivo V80 series is expected to feature the octa-core Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset—the same processor used in the Vivo V70. It is rumoured that the smartphone lineup will sport a 6.59-inch 1.5K display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. It may also feature a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for security.
It is rumoured that the Vivo V80 series could launch next month with a 7,200mAh battery and support for 90W wired fast charging. The Vivo V70 series might come with a 6,500mAh battery and fast charging support. Regarding the camera, the upcoming lineup could feature a Zeiss-tuned triple-camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. It may also receive IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip. It features a 6.59-inch (16.74 cm) AMOLED display with a resolution of 1260×2750 pixels (FHD+) and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Vivo V70 sports a triple camera setup, including a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP telephoto camera (supporting up to 100x digital zoom and up to 3x optical zoom), and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfie enthusiasts, it includes a 50MP front camera. The phone is equipped with a 6,500mAh battery that supports 90W Super Flash Charging via a USB Type-C port.
