Preparations are underway to operate a new Vande Bharat sleeper train between Varanasi and New Delhi. While several trains already operate between Varanasi and Delhi, the Vande Bharat sleeper train will provide a high-speed option for those who want to travel from Varanasi to Delhi as quickly as possible.

When will the Varanasi-New Delhi Vande Bharat sleeper train start running?

Preparations are currently in progress to launch the Vande Bharat Sleeper train service connecting Varanasi and New Delhi around the Diwali season. That said, an official launch date hasn’t been confirmed yet. The ticket pricing for this service is also still being finalized.

What will be the timing of the train?

The Vande Bharat Sleeper Train operating between Varanasi and New Delhi is designed to reach speeds of up to 130 kilometers per hour. The train will leave Varanasi Cantt station at 9:20 pm (21:30 hrs) and pull into New Delhi station at 5:00 am the following morning, completing the journey in approximately 8 hours. For the return trip, the train departs New Delhi at 9:20 pm and arrives back in Varanasi at 5:00 am the next day.

What facilities will be available in the train?

This Vande Bharat Sleeper train will accommodate 800 passengers across its coaches. The composition includes 11 3AC coaches, 4 2AC coaches, and 1 First AC coach. It’s being reported that test runs of the Vande Bharat sleeper train on the Varanasi-Delhi route are expected to commence soon, possibly in September. Once these trials prove successful, the service will be made available to the public.
