Vande Bharat Express: Exciting news for travelers between Rajasthan and Gujarat! The Railway Board has given the green light for the new Vande Bharat Express service connecting Surat and Udaipur City. This semi-high-speed train will enhance connectivity between these two cities, offering passengers a quick and comfortable travel experience. The Western Railway zone will be responsible for operating and maintaining this train.

A letter from the Railway Board was sent to the General Managers of the Operating Departments of both Western Railway and North Western Railway, confirming the launch of the 26903/26904 Surat-Udaipur City Vande Bharat Express. This new service will provide a direct Vande Bharat link between Surat, a key city in Gujarat, and Udaipur in Rajasthan.

Covering a distance of around 690 kilometers, the proposed Surat-Udaipur Vande Bharat Express will take approximately 7 hours and 30 minutes to complete its journey. With a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour, this train will significantly reduce travel time for passengers making long trips between Gujarat and Rajasthan. It is particularly expected to benefit those traveling between Surat and South Gujarat, as well as Udaipur.

Udaipur is a prominent tourist destination in Rajasthan, drawing visitors from all over the country, while Surat serves as a vital trade and industrial center in Gujarat. Thus, the introduction of this high-speed rail service is likely to enhance tourism, business opportunities, and passenger connectivity between the two cities. However, the Railways have yet to provide detailed information about the train’s launch date, schedule, stops, and ticket prices. Once this information is available, passengers will be able to access the full details of the new service. With the Railway Board’s approval, the anticipation for Udaipur to gain another significant Vande Bharat connection has certainly increased.

This train is expected to begin before the upcoming Navratri festival, which is generating considerable excitement among travelers and tourists in Surat and South Gujarat. The train will run six days a week between Surat and Udaipur, with a break on Tuesdays. It will depart Surat at 6:10 a.m. and arrive in Udaipur at 1:40 p.m., and depart Udaipur at 3:35 p.m. and arrive in Surat at 11 p.m. This means the journey from Surat to Udaipur will now take just 7:30 hours.
