Volkswagen Tayron has length of 4735mm, width of 1859mm and height of 1682mm. It is 197mm longer, 17mm wider and 43mm taller than the 5-seater Tiguan. Also its wheelbase is 111mm more.
Talking about the cabin, 3 screens will be available inside the car. These include a digital instrument cluster, an infotainment touchscreen and a separate screen for the front passenger.
The car has been provided with wireless charging, 360 degree camera, 10-point massage seat, head-up display, dual zone climate control and ADAS safety features.
Global Market: This car will come in multiple engine options, which will include petrol, diesel and plug-in-hybrid. The Teron in India may come with a single engine option – a 2.0-litre unit and a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
Volkswagen Tayron will be launched first in China. After this, it will enter the Indian market in the year 2025. According to reports, Teron can be assembled in India. It will compete with Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian.
