Skoda SUVs: Skoda has finally decided that only SUVs can bring it success in India. However, recently the company has again launched its new generation Superb sedan in the Indian market. But now the company is preparing to bring some SUVs for India.
Skoda compact suv
The most upcoming product from Skoda is the Nexon competitive SUV. This car has been seen several times during testing, in which information about some exterior and interior parts has been revealed. On the exterior, we see the traditional Skoda grille with split DRL and LED headlamp setup. Whereas the design of the rear tail lamp is very similar to that of Kushaq. A redesigned bumper and sloping rear windshield can be seen. This compact SUV will have a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine which will be capable of generating an output of 113bhp and 178Nm. Transmission options include a manual and an automatic gearbox. Talking about the features, it is expected to get 360-degree camera, ambient lighting and more. Skoda has confirmed that it is planning to launch this SUV by March 2025.
New generation kodiaq
Skoda revealed the new generation Kodiaq in the global market last year and it is expected to arrive in India by the end of 2024. The size of this model is 61 mm longer than before. In terms of design, the Kodiaq features the traditional Skoda grille. Skoda has also joined the connected tail lamp trend with the Kodiaq. Talking about the interior, it has a new dashboard layout and 12.9 inch infotainment screen. Other features include digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof and more. In India, we can expect it to come only with the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which is also found in the existing Kodiaq.
Skoda Enyaq SUV
The company’s upcoming lineup also includes the Enyaq iV, which will be the brand’s first electric car in India. Skoda has been testing this car in India for some time now and it is expected to be launched before the end of 2024. The Enyaq has the traditional Skoda grille but has received some changes to give it a modern look. In India, we can expect the arrival of its ’80x’ variant which is the top-end model equipped with all the features. In the global market, this variant comes with a 77kWh battery pack, which is capable of giving it a WLTP range of 513km. In terms of features, the Enyaq comes with a 13-inch infotainment system with soft-touch materials, leather upholstery, an all-digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting and more. The Enyaq is expected to be priced between Rs 50 lakh and Rs 60 lakh.
