Mahindra 5-door Thar:-Mahindra is going to end the suspense with its upcoming offroad SUV 5-door Thar on August 15. This means that now there is very little time left for its launching. Meanwhile, news is coming that the company has also started unofficial pre-booking at its official dealership.
For this the dealership is taking a token amount of Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000. If we believe a new report related to this new Thar, then multiple engine options will be available in it. Which will also include 1.5-litre diesel option.
Engine
Talking about the other engine options available in Mahindra 5-door Thar, it will get a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which will generate power of 203bhp. The second option will be a 2.2-litre diesel engine, which will generate power of 175bhp. At the same time, another option will be available of 1.5-litre diesel engine, which will generate power of 117bhp. Except for the 1.5-litre diesel engine, the remaining two powertrains are already available in its 3-door model.
Design of 5-door Thar. Features and Specifications
Looking at the photos that have surfaced of the 5-door Thar, it is known that its design will be similar to the existing 3-door Thar, but its body panels will be completely new. It will carry a boxy shape with tall pillars, vertical slatted front grille, round-shaped headlights, flared wheel arches, upright tailgate-mounted spare wheel, muscular bumper section, rectangular tail lamps. Its track will also be extended to increase stability.
Specifications
The 5 door Thar will have a wheelbase of about 300mm longer. The alloy wheels will be brand new in this. Pillars will be found on the handle of its back door. It is believed that it will get an edited touchscreen infotainment system. However, other features of the cabin will be similar to the 3-door model. The test prototype has been seen only with individual rear seats. However, there is suspense over whether it will have a bench seat behind the second row or will have only boot space.
Interior
5 door Thar can be launched in 6 color options. Talking about other features, it has standard features like 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity support, wireless charger, automatic AC, multi-functional steering wheel and roof mounted speakers and many more including multiple airbags, hill start control, EAC. Safety features are expected.
