Hyundai Creta EV: To compete with Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors, Hyundai is preparing to launch a new electric car, which will be Creta EV. Along with fast charging support, many excellent safety features will also be provided in this car.

Hyundai is going to bring the first made-in-India electric SUV, which will be launched by the year 2025. The company itself has confirmed this. This new electric car could be Creta EV. This electric car of Hyundai coming for the Indian market will be manufactured in the company’s Chennai facility. Its production can start at the end of this year, while it can be launched in the early months of 2025.

Hyundai Creta EV has already been spotted testing on Indian roads. It is expected that its design will be similar to the petrol/diesel of the current Creta. However, minor changes can be made to the car which will include a new grille and aero-optimized alloy wheels.

The new Creta electric car has a new style grille, front-rear bumper, new alloy wheels, headlamps and taillamps and a charging port at the front like the existing model. Apart from this, most of the parts of the car were covered, due to which not much information has been revealed.

Features of Hyundai Creta EV

According to the leaked pictures, the electric Creta will get a 2-spoke steering wheel, in which a drive mode selector will be provided. This electric car can be provided with dual zone automatic climate control, 360 degree camera, ventilated front seats and ADAS level 2 safety features.

Hyundai Creta EV Range

According to reports, the powertrain of the Creta EV could be similar to the entry-level Kona Electric. It is expected that it will be provided with a front mount electric motor and 45kWh battery pack. It is believed that once fully charged, its battery pack will give a range of 450 to 500 kilometers. Apart from this, this electric SUV will come with fast charging features.

Hyundai Creta EV Price

Talking about the price, the price of Creta EV has not been revealed yet, but it is expected that the company can launch it in the budget of Rs 22 to 26 lakh. This price will be as per ex-showroom. After launch, it will compete with MG ZS EV, Toyota Urban Sport, Maruti EVX and electric cars from Mahindra, Honda, Kia.
