Ford Territory SUV: The talk of Ford’s comeback in the Indian market is continuously gaining momentum. Now Ford can bring many new SUVs for our market. However, no confirmation has been made yet regarding the company’s entry in India. But that being said, the Ford Territory looks like a large SUV that will slot below the full-size Endeavor in our market.
Ford Territory SUV
The new Ford Territory is a 5-seater SUV and is smaller than the Endeavour, and is a crossover of sorts. The new generation new model sports slimmer LEDs along with 19-inch wheels, while the larger grille and sharper looks give it an attractive design, even if it has less road presence than the new Endeavour.
Engine and Interior
It has a 1.8L GTDI EcoBoost and standard 7-speed automatic transmission. It is tuned for ease of daily use. On the interior, there are dual screens with a clutter-free cabin layout, which includes all the usual technology with a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Territory could be a big rival for the premium SUV segment. It can be kept in the segment in which the new Endeavor will also come. Although there is no confirmation regarding the launch of the new Endeavor or the re-launch of the Territory in India, we feel that both these SUVs are suitable for our market.
Will be suitable for Indian market
Most likely, Ford will come back with a range of CBU products to start its operations in India with the Endeavor first, while local assembly could happen later. An SUV like the Territory is also suitable for our market in terms of being a big city SUV.
